Originally used on the EBR Factory World Superbikes, we offer the foam seat in this kit for an improved rider position. The rider comes slightly up and more important, the higher front section gives more support and a better connection to the airbox cover. Another benefit is, that the high quality foam material is more comfortable than the stock seats. Mounts with 6x M5 screws (included) to the RS fiberglass tail unit. 2 openings in the seat allow the access to the rear mounting screws. A fiberglass base plate with thread inserts gives the set-up a good stability. Comes as standard with manufacturer embroidery.
You can choose between 2 styles of the fiberglass part, (1.) the at the bottom closed version, originally used with shortened subframe on the EBR 1190 RR and (2.) a ready cut out version for the long subframe of the RX/SX. It’s a bit tight to get the fiberglass part on an off, but you can, for the price of a bit bigger gap clearances, grind a bit more from the fiberglass edge off, to have a smoother operation. Always test mount any fiberglass parts before painting to your bike in the final position.
The complete kit includes:
- RS style fiberglass tail unit, gel coat white, unpainted
- CNC made aluminium subframe sliders for the front mount with Torx fastener
- Rivet nuts for the rear mount with Torx fastener
- All mounting hardware
- Mounting instructions
Attention: mounting the RS fiberglass seat unit requires drilling 2 holes in the subframe. You can either cut a thread (not recommended for intensive use) or use the supplied rivet nut. Your original subframe carry at the front the mounting points for the CNC slider blocks supplied with the kit.
