The Pegasus Buell 1125 Racetaxi
The story of the Experimental Buell you can read here
In 2009 in the times between, that Harley-Davidson decided to shut down the production in East Troy and Erik’s restart as EBR -Erik Buell Racing, we developed the Buell 1125 Race Experimental. That bike had a short life, as the Pegasusraceteam activities from spring 2010 on focused on the new EBR 1190 RR.
Parts of the Experimental project got a second life later in 2010 as Teams Race Taxi. We made a new monocoque with passenger seat and integrated handles for the guest to hold on. The construction was supported by a skinny light weight Trellis subframe construction what was reaching from the front of the airbox to the end tip of the monocoque. Another special was the AST Air rear Suspension (not shown) and adjustable passenger foot pegs to enable the team to set the bike up to different size guests.
In its yellow colour, the Crazy Cab had the rollout at the German Biketoberfest at the end of the 2010 season and rider Harald Kitsch put down Club Sport level lap times in a crowd of Buell racers with Erik Buell having a good time at the pit lane. Great show.
